Boys Wrestling: Six Minot United wrestlers ranked in latest coaches poll
Fresh off a third-place finish at the Al Larson Tournament over the weekend, the Minot United boys wrestling team had six grapplers appear in the latest coaches poll, with four ranked fifth in their respective weight classes. The coaches poll ranks the top eight wrestlers in each weight class, as well as the top 10 teams in the state.
Eli Rogers (121 pounds), Korbin Kraft (145), Evan Berg (189) and Tucker Nelson (215) all ranked fifth. Jack Combs earned the seventh position at 107 and Tayven Blackaby grabbed the eighth spot at 127.
Bismarck Legacy earned the top spot in the team rankings. The Sabers have three wrestlers holding the top ranking in their respective weight classes. Bismarck Century came in at No. 2 and also has three of the top wrestlers in the state. Fargo Davies, Dickinson and Bismarck High rounded out the top five. Minot United was unranked as a team.
Dickinson, Central Cass, Fargo Davies, Bismarck High and Williston also had No. 1 ranked wrestlers.
Minot United hosts a dual with Turtle Mountain on Thursday, Dec. 18 at 7 p.m.
