The Minot State Beavers baseball team is gaining a new local team member in the form of Minot North senior Brody Mueller.
Brody Mueller has been playing baseball since he was three years old. Mueller grew up in Minot and has a family history playing baseball. As Mueller grew, so did his interest in the sport. Throughout his youth, he played in Magic City Youth Baseball and started his high school career at Minot High. Mueller moved to Minot North High School his sophomore year and joined the Sentinels’ baseball team. Now, he is in his senior year of high school, and he is not done playing ball.
Last week, on Nov. 6, Mueller announced his intentions to continue his baseball career, right here in his home town as a Minot State Beaver.
“I just wanted to stay close to home,” said Mueller. “I overall like the coaching staff a lot. [Coach Sam Boisner] is a great guy, I like him a lot. I’m excited to play for him.”
Mueller said that he is excited to join the Beavers’ baseball, citing his chance to play with former summer ball teammate, Carson Deaver, who started school at Minot State this year.
“This is his first year [at MSU], I’m excited to play with him,” said Mueller. “I played with [Deaver] on the Vistas and played against a few other guys that are on the team as freshman this year, so it will be fun.”
Having been at the top of his teams the last few years, Mueller says that he is excited to face the challenge that comes with being on the newer end of the team.
“I’m probably most excited about getting to know everyone that’s a part of Minot State baseball, like coaching staff, players and everyone and getting to know them better and grow good connections over the next four years,” said Mueller.
Mueller says that the past few months have been a long one for himself and his family, and that securing his choice of school and team has helped lift a big weight off of their shoulders.
During the 2025 season, Mueller was selected for the 2025 Class A Baseball All-State Team as shortstop. He will play one more season as a Minot North Sentinel before graduation at the end of the 2025-26 school year. From there, he will continue his career as a Beaver.
