Minot State volleyball earns Academic Award
The Minot State volleyball program garnered a prestigious award for their efforts last season as the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) honored the Beavers with the AVCA Team Academic Award today.
This national honor recognizes outstanding volleyball programs at all levels for their excellence academically as a team earning the honor must maintain a minimum cumulative team GPA of 3.3, or higher, for the entire 2024-25 academic year.
The Minot State volleyball team boasted a stellar 3.593 cumulative team GPA for the 2024-25 year, the highest among any Beaver athletic team.
This is the third time the Minot State volleyball team has earned this prestigious honor as the Beavers also were honored for the 2019-2020 and 2011-12 academic years.
The 2025 Minot State volleyball team hits the court hosting their annual Red & White scrimmage on August 28 at the MSU Dome at 6 p.m., then opens the season in earnest in Alaska on Sept. 5-6 at the University of Alaska Anchorage tournament.
The Beavers make their home debut hosting the 2nd annual Live 1st International Bank Classic on Sept. 11-12, hosting Montana State Billings at 11 a.m. and Manitoba at 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, then Black Hills State at 10 a.m. and Brandon at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 12.
