Majettes soccer looks to take back state championship
The 2025 NDHSAA Girls’ Soccer State Tournament starts today at West Fargo Sheyenne High School.
The Minot High girls’ soccer team is seeded first in the west region heading into the tournament. They are scheduled to take on Grand Forks Central High School, fourth seed in the east region, at 4:30 p.m.
Before Minot plays, east region’s first seed Grand Forks Red River will play Century High, the west’s fourth seed. They are scheduled to kick off the tournament at 12 p.m.
West region second seed Mandan High is set to face off against Shanley, who is seeded third in the east heading into the first round of the tournament. They are scheduled to play at 2:15 p.m. at West Fargo Sheyenne.
The first day of the tournament will end with the east’s second seed, Fargo Davies, playing against the west’s third seed, Jamestown. They will be playing at 6:45 p.m., closing out the quarterfinals for the tournament.
The consolation semifinals and semifinals are scheduled for Friday. The championship, third place, and fifth place matches are all scheduled for Saturday.
The Minot High girls’ soccer team took home the state championship in three of the last four years, only losing to Fargo Davies 2-1 in 2024.
The eight teams competing were the top four regular season finishers in the Western Dakota Association and the Eastern Dakota Conference.
