Magi baseball gears up for state

The 2025 NDHSAA Class A Baseball State Tournament is scheduled to take place Thursday, May 29 at Kraft Field in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Thursday’s tournament consists of the top four seeded teams in the east and west regions of Class A. The Minot High Magicians were seeded second in the western region after Mandan High.

Game one will bring Mandan High against Fargo South, the fourth seed in the eastern region. They are set to play at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Game two will begin 35 minutes after game one and will feature the eastern region’s second seed, West Fargo Sheyenne, and the west region’s third seed, Legacy High.

Game three is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Thursday and will pit Minot High against West Fargo Horace, who is seeded third in the eastern region.

Game four will start 35 minutes after game three and will see the east region’s first seed, Fargo Davies, take on Jamestown, the west region’s fourth seed.

The semifinals and consolation games of the tournament are scheduled to take place Friday, May 30. The championship, third place, and fifth place games will take place on Saturday, May 31.

The last time the Minot High baseball team won the NDHSAA state tournament was in 2005 against Bismarck High.
