Fore! Minot to host West Region golf tourney

The 2025 West Region Boys’ Golf Tournament is set to be held in Minot at the Souris Valley Golf Course Wednesday, May 28.
The 2024-2025 regular season ended Friday, May 23 with Minot North taking home its first ever WDA regular season title.
Minot North’s first seed player, senior Kasen Rostad, is set to tee off at 11:09 a.m. Wednesday morning on the first hole of the course. He is scheduled to play the round with Minot High’s first seed, freshman Parker Argent, and the other first seeds from Williston High and Century High School.
Minot North’s second seed, senior Bennett Bartsch, and Minot High second seed, sophomore Easton Bradley, will be teeing off at 11 a.m. from the first hole.
Senior Tyler Bast is Minot North’s third seed player. He and Minot High sophomore Connor Ressler will begin their round on Wednesday at 10:51 a.m. at the first hole of the course.
Walter Langhans is a junior at Minot North High School and is the fourth seed player for the school. He is set to tee off at 10:42 a.m. with Nathan Peterson, a sophomore at Minot High.
Minot North junior Kyler Weishaar and Minot High senior Fischer Johnson are both seeded fifth on their respective teams and will start the day at 10:33 a.m. from the first hole.
Minot North’s Teegan Dangel, a freshman, is seeded sixth for the team going into the region tournament. He and Minot High senior Carsen Gartner, Minot’s sixth seed, will tee off at 10:24 a.m. at the first hole. They are the first Minot area players to tee off in the tournament.
All twelve WDA schools are set to participate in Wednesday’s tournament. The top six schools during the regional tournament will qualify for the Class A state tournament that will be held June 3-4 at Minot’s Vardon Golf Course.
The top ten individual golfers from Wednesday’s tournament will also get to qualify for the state tournament.
Several local players have already qualified for the state golf tournament including Minot North’s Kasan Rostad and Minot High’s Parker Argent.
The West Region Tournament officially begins at 9:30 a.m.
