Minot North takes win against Williston

Minot North celebrated its first volleyball senior night on Thursday, October 31 against the Williston Coyotes. Seniors Marleigh Iverson, Cadence Shipman, Kyleigh Keller, and Kaiya Chell were honored. Senior manager Brayden Rose was honored as well.

Minot North won 3-1 in the end.

Coming out hot at the end of the first set, the Sentinels beat Williston 25-21. In the second set, Williston responded, beating the Sentinels 25-23.

Minot North came back and easily won the third set 25-16 and won the fourth and final set 25-23 sealing the match win.

Minot North will play their next game on Tuesday, November 5 in Watford City.

Minot High 3, Watford City 0

WATFORD CITY – Minot High beat Watford City 3-0 on Thursday, October 31. Minot High won all three sets by a score of 25-15.

For the winning Majettes Eve Knutson ended with seven kills, one dig, and one two blocks. Kynsli Gillmore had seven kills, two digs, and one block. Sydney Aberle had six kills, one ace, a pair of digs, and a pair of blocks. Mackenzie Dufner led with 27 assists, two kills, one dig, and one block.

For Watford City Fallon Sampsel finished with nine kills. Bailey Mattson had six kills and five digs. Hope Cross led with 16 assists and one ace. Amelia Wisness had two kills and five digs.

Minot High will host Jamestown on Saturday, November 2 for their next WDA matchup.
