The Royals faced the Lakers with each being the second and third seeds respectively. Each frame was contested evenly, with South Prairie-Max taking the win with 25-20, 25-21 and 25-22 for a sweep that could have gone the other way as easily.
The top two seeds, Our Redeemer’s and South Prairie-Max, will play for the title on Monday, November 4, at the Minot Auditorium.
No. 5 Glenburn 3, No. 8 Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood 0
In the consolation bracket, the five seeds from Glenburn swept familiar foes from Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood as the eight seeds. The Panthers took the 25-18, 25-18 and 25-17 scores for the sweep and will stay alive in the consolation bracket on Monday.
No. 7 Surrey 3, No. 6 Bishop Ryan 1
Bishop Ryan as the sixth seed had ‘winning’ as the goal with the 25-16 win in frame one over the seventh seeds from Surrey. The Mustangs had other ideas as they won three in a row 25-21, 25-15 and 25-23 for the upset and are still alive in the bracket play for Monday.
