The countdown continues, meet the MSU QBs

The countdown is at ten days. That is 240 hours until Minot State University (MSU) game day and destiny against Valley City State at Herb Parker Stadium on Thursday, August 29, at 6 p.m.
As the clock winds down, the foundations of the Beavers offense and defense have been installed and coaches are working through the depth charts for both sides of the ball. One of the key positions for MSU is at quarterback. Those on the roster are all new to the program.
Let’s meet the student-athletes on the roster.
Trevor Jungman is a junior from Escondido, California. He played at San Pasqual High School. The six-foot tall athlete played at Grossmont Community College last season, Palomar College for the 2022 season and Moorpark College as a freshman for the 2021 season prior to his arrival at MSU.
In 5 games at Grossmont Jungman completed 47-of-92 passes for 364 yards and 4 touchdowns and rushed for 98 yards. He also played in 1 game with no stats at Palomar College. Jungman completed 33-of-64 passes for 381 yards with 1 touchdown and ran for 113 yards and a touchdown as a freshman at Moorpark College.
William King III is a junior from Hugo, Oklahoma. Prior to his arrival at MSU, King played in five games for the Minnesota State University, Mankato, Mavericks. He completed six passes for 72 yards and a touchdown and had 48 passing yards and 35 rushing yards vs. Minot State.
For Washburn University of the Mid America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), he played in three games during the 2021 season and recorded 65 rushing yards. King was named to the MIAA Honor Roll in 2020.
In High School, the six-foot, three-inch King was named his district’s offensive MVP and returner of the year as a senior and named the offensive back of the year as a junior.
Matthew Donovan is a sophomore from Kasson, Minnesota. Prior to his arrival at MSU, the five-foot, ten-inch Donovan played in the opening game of the 2023 season for the Bemidji State Beavers before redshirting. He was a 2-time all-district quarterback at Kasson-Mantorville HS where he also played hockey and competed in track and field.
Aiden George, a six-foot true freshman from Winter Haven, Florida and Matthew Shinn, a six-foot true freshman from Stockton, California round out the quarterback’s room for the Beavers. Who rises to the top level of the depth chart remains to be seen.
