LANSFORD – The Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers played Renville County and used a 3-1 lead gained in the second inning to win the game 6-4 in the end.

Paxton Ystaas was 2-for-3 with two RBIs in the game while Collin Abernathey was 2-for-4 with an RBI as the team went 8-for-27 at the plate. Braylon FIsher, Jacob Schaefer, Ryan Ralph and Kyler Fisher each added hits in the win. Ystaas pitched seven innings and allowed four runs on six hits and walked four batters while gathering seven strikeouts.

As a team, Renville County was 6-for-25 at the plate. Hunter Tolstad pitched six and one-third innings while Johnson pitched two-thirds of an inning. Between the two, they allowed six runs on eight hits. They only had four in the earned run column and struck out nine batters.

In the double elimination tournament, Des Lacs-Burlington will face Renville County today. If the Lakers win, they are the Region 7 winners. If they lose the game, both teams will face each other in a second game- winner take all.
