BISMARCK – The 2024 NDHSAA State Track and Field Meet resumed at 9:30 A.M. on Friday, May 24 as Class A and Class B athletes continued on day two of action.

In the girl’s Class B 1600-meters Finals, Des-Lacs Burlington/Lewis and Clark sophomore Brynn Hanson ran a personal best time of 5:11.66 for a second place medal, and Rugby sophomore Hannah Senechal ran a season’s best time of 5:26.35 to claim seventh place.

Velva-Drake/Anamoose Anya Olson ran a personal best time of 58.79 in the girl’s Class B 400 prelims to claim second

Velva-drake/Anamoose’s Olson also came second in the girl Class B 100 prelims with a 12.81 time and Bishop Ryan Tochi Udekwe followed in third place with a 12.95 time.

Velva-Drake/Anamoose’s Olson was second in the girl’s Class B 200 prelims with a 25.36 time, while Bishop Ryan Udekwe was fourth in a 25.70 time.

The Minot High quartet (Dylan Jackson, Nathan Wistisen, Jacob Jackson, Benjamin Harris) ran a personal best time of 8:02.71 to finish third in the boy’s Class A 4×800 Relay Finals.

There was a lot of success for Minot High seniors in discus as Kobe Irmen placed third with a personal best throw of 176-04 and Lincoln Brooks placed fourth with his personal best throw of 159-08 in Class A discus.

In the girl’s Class B 100 hurdles prelims, Beulah freshman Addison Scheppe ran a personal best time of 15.68 to place third, slightly ahead of Rugby junior Ashley Martodam, who also ran a personal best time of 15.69 for fourth place and Nedrose senior Kaydee Boyce who finished 10th with a 16.91 time.

Cy Walker of Rugby ran a personal best time of 15.71 to place fourth in the boy’s Class B 110 meter hurdles prelims.

Minot High Harris ran a personal best time of 4:24.49 to place fourth in the boy’s Class A 1600 Finals.

Minot High Tyson Ruzicka sprinted a 11.41 time to place fourth in the Class A 100 prelims.

Minot High Makayala Whitfield had a personal best jump of 17-09 in the girl’s Class A long jump to place fourth.

Rugby Martodam placed fourth in the girl’s Class B triple jump with a 35-05 mark.

Minot High Grayson Schaeffer placed fourth in the boy’s Class A long jump with a 22-02 mark, while Minot North John Williams III finished fifth with a 21-11 mark.

Des-Lacs Burlington/Lewis and Clark Brynn Hanson ran a personal best time of 59.82 to place fourth, and Rugby Brooklyn Bartsch finished in eight place with a 1:01.13 time in the girl’s Class B 400 prelims.

In the boy’s Class A 4×100 Relay prelims, Minot High boys (Vincent Pecoraro, Tyson Ruzicka, Aaron Prestwich, Taven Backman) ran a personal best time of 42.64 to place fifth.

Minot High Girls (Monica Boakye, Whitfield, Kadyn Braun, Maicee Burke) ran a personal best time of 50.40 in the girl’s Class A 4×100 Relay prelims to advance in fifth.

In the Class A girl 300 hurdles, Minot High sophomore Eve Knutson placed sixth with a time of 48.13.

Rugby junior Martodam placed seventh in the girl Class B long jump with a 16-07 mark and Nedrose Kaydee Boyce finished eight with 16-07 jump.

Rugby led by their sprinting quartet (Bostyn Bailey, Sam Blessum, Miryilyn Migler, Elise Fahnestock) ran a personal best time of 51.47 to place seventh in the girl’s Class B 4×100 Relay prelims.

In the boy’s Class B 200 prelims, Nedrose senior Keaton Cole claimed ninth with a 23.44 time.

In the boy’s Class B 400, Des-Lacs Burlington/Lewis and Clark senior Zander Grover placed 10th with 52.47 time in the prelims.

Rugby senior Cy Walker placed 11th in the boy’s Class B 300 hurdles with a 43.31 mark.

Nedrose senior Sawyer Bloms had a personal best in the boy’s Class B Javelin with a 152-04 mark to place 11th.

Minot High Sydney Aberle placed 11th in the girl’s Class A 100 hurdles prelims with a 16.42 time, followed by teammate Haley Conklin, who ran a personal best time of 16.61 to finish 13th.

Minot High Sophia Lade placed 11th in the girl’s Class A1600 with a 5:37.77 time and teammate Lucy Harris placed 17th in 5:47.52

Velva-Drake/Anamoose junior Kyle Voshon placed 11th in boys class B 110 hurdle prelims with a 16.41 time.

Minot High’s Ruzicka placed 11th with a 22.99 time and Prestwich placed 13th with a 23.14 time in the boy’s Class 200 A prelims.

Minot High junior Kaden Kraft placed 12th with a 42.21 time in the boy’s Class A 300 Meter Hurdles.

Bishop Ryan Claire Fegley ran a personal best time of 17.44 to finish 12th in girl’s Class B 100 hurdles prelims.

Nedrose ran a personal best time of 45.00 to place 12th in boys Class B 4×100 Relay prelims.

Rugby’s Fahnestock placed 12th in the girl’s Class B 400 prelims with a 1:02.666 time, while Beulah Paige Hetzler was 13th in 1:02.99 and Minot High girls (Lade, Lucy Harris, Maria Goodvin, Kaylee Jackson) placed 13th in the girl’s Class A 4×800 Relay Finals.

Beulah senior Simon Buchfinck placed 13th in boys Class B discus with a 135-05 throw.

In the boy Class B 100, Velva-Drake/Anamoose senior Lucas Siebuhr placed 13th with a 12.07 time, followed by Nedrose senior Keaton Cole who finished 16th with a 12.13 time.

The Minot North boys ran a personal best time 44.55 to place 16th in the boy’s Class A 4×100 relay prelims.

Velva-Drake/Anamoose sophomore Amarie YellowHammer was 19th In the boy’s Class B 400 with a 55.33 time.

Other finishes In the boy’s Class B 200 prelims are: Lucas Siebuhr of Velva-Drake/Anamoose who placed 14th with 23.74 time, Zander Grover of Des-Lacs Burlington/ Lewis and Clark who finished 17th in a 23.87 time.

Beulah sprinter Paige Hetzler was 14th in the girl’s Class B 100 prelims with a 13.76 mark. Surrey Addison Neshem was 19th in 14.00 and teammate Holly Latendresse was 20th in 14.03

Minot High Blake Anderson placed 14th in the Class A discus with a 144-02 mark, while teammate Heston Faul placed 22nd with a 125-00 mark.

Minot High Prestwich placed 17th in the Class A 100 prelims with a 11.79 time,while teammate Vincent Pecorero finished 21st with a 11.84 time.

Beulah senior Adakin Backus placed 18th in the boy’s class B 110 hurdle prelims at 18.40 time.

Other finishers in the girl’s Class B 100 hurdles prelims are: Rugby Quinn Walker placed 18th in an 18.38 time, Bishop Ryan Gwynnie Johnson placed 19th in an 18.92 time. and Velva-Drake/Anamoose Evelyn Isaak placed 21st in 22.83. .

In the boy’s Class A 400 prelims, Minot High Harrison Stewart ran a time 52.37 to place 19th, while Devils Lake Adam Sobolik placed 20th in 52.53 and Minot North Aaron Garza placed 24th with a 54.09 times.

In the girl’s Class A discus, Minot North junior Josie Rystedt placed 20th with a108-03 throw and Minot High Eve Bland placed 21st with a 107-09 throw.

Finishers in the boy’s Class B 1600 are Beulah Logan Neuberger placing 21st in 4:52.61 and Bishop Ryan Gryphen Leier-Wangler placing 23rd with a 4:57.14 time.

Minot High also had the following finishers in the boy’s Class 200 A prelims: Pecoraro placed 23rd with a 23.66 time, James Pallota placed 35th with a 24.19 time and Stewart placed 39th with 24.50 time.

Minot North finishers in the boy’s Class 200 A prelims are: Carter Coleman placing 25th with a 23.79 time and Garza finishing 36th with a 24.27 time.

The following are Minot High finishers in the girl’s Class A 100 prelims: Whitfield placing 18th with a time of 13.63, Burke finishing 31st with a time of 14.01 and Monica Boakye placing 37th with a 14.16 time.

The following teams also ran personal best times in girl’s Class B 4×100 Relay prelims: Surrey (Addison Neshem, Khloe Spaulding, Harley Ryals, Haley Latendresse) placed 17th with a 52.21 time, Beulah (Reegan Ahlschlager, Emma Dschaak, Taryn Askim, Paige Hetzler) placed 20th in 52.41 and Bishop Ryan ran an all time best 52.50 with the quartet of (Taylor Britnell,T. Udekwe,C. Udekwe, Elsie Braun).
