Minot North hosts crosstown Minot High

The Minot High Majettes made the long trip across town to play the Minot North Sentinels in a tennis match at Hammond Park where both teams practice and complete, or call home court. The Majettes enjoyed a 9-0 victory, winning all matches in straight sets.

Minot High’s Kyllie Fettig played Minot North’s Addy Clark in the No. 1 singles match and notched 6-1, 6-1 sets for the match. Majette Sienna Ronning faced the Sentinel’s Emersyn Kopp at the No. 2 singles slot winning 6-2, 6-3 in one of the more closely played matches. Grace Olson faced Kate Welshaar from Minot North at No. 3 singles, winning the match for Minot High with 6-0, 6-0 sets.

Minot High’s Lila Olson beat Minot North’s Zoe Bahr 6-0, 6-1 to take the match at No. 4 singles. At No. 5 singles, Reese Goodman from Minot High beat Sentinel Lelah Rojas 6-1, 6-1 while Majette Adison DIttus defeated Alyviah Kopp 6-1, 6-1 for the match win at No. 6 singles.

At the No. 1 doubles, Minot High’s Ronning-G. Olson won 6-2, 6-1 over E. Kopp-Weishaar from Minot North for the match. Majettes Fettig-Dittus posted 6-2, 6-4 sets over Sentinels Clark-Rojas for the match at No. 2 doubles. In the final match of the day, Minot High’s L. Olson-Goodman beat Bahr-A. Kopp 6-0, 6-0 to take the match at No. 3 doubles.

Minot High (4-0) makes the trip to Williston for a match against the Coyotes this afternoon, while Minot North (0-4) will host Dickinson on Friday, April 19.
