Knudsen paces Beavers’ golf at NSIC

SMITHVILLE, Mo. – Holly Knudsen finished with an 11-over 83 on Sunday to tie for 21st, leading the way for the Minot State women’s golf team which finished 9th at the NSIC Championships.

Knudsen finished at 29-over 245 (85-77-83) for the three-day, 54-hole event played at the Paradise Pointe Golf Club.

As for the Beavers, they shot a team total of 148-over 1,012 (341-331-340) for the three-day Championship which concluded Sunday.

Taylor Cormier and Jaci Jones were next for the Beavers as each tied for 30th at 37-over 253 for the tournament. Cormier shot rounds of 85, 84, and 84 while Jones turned in scores of 80, 86, and 87.

Lauren Keller was next for Minot State as she tied for 47th at 49-over 265 (91-84-90), then Zoe Banack rounded out the Beaver scores as she was 50th at 52-over 268 (92-90-86).

Augustana won the team title by 29 strokes over Winona State as the Vikings turned in a 54-hole score of 46-over 910 (300-310-300) while Carly Moon from Winona State claimed the individual title by two strokes as she finished at five-over 221 (72-72-77).
