Minot Curling Club ready to begin season

Submitted Photo The Minot Curling Club is ready for its 2023-24 season, and it will be holding a number of Open House and “Learn to Curl” events this week.

The Minot Curling Club is ready for their 2023-24 season. Ice preparations are complete, and the club will be hosting several “Learn to Curl” events for experienced and prospective curlers.

The curling club will have free curling instruction for anyone interested in curling this season. The open house events will be held each night, beginning Monday, Nov. 27 and running through Thursday, Nov. 30, starting at 7 p.m.

According to the club, those interested in participating in league curling may sign up as individuals or as a team. Equipment will be provided free of charge.

Regular leagues will begin the week of December 4-7, 2023, and run through the end of March. Leagues are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. There are spots available for experienced as well as novice curlers.

There will also be a Fun Spiel special event on Saturday, Dec. 2, starting with a special “Learn to Curl” instructional event beginning at 10 a.m. Following that session there will be a “Fun Spiel” tournament from noon- 5 p.m. Teams will be organized with new and experienced curlers. Light snacks will be provided for all curlers. The cost is $10 per person.
