A new addition to the Minot Hot Tots was revealed on Wednesday. The team announced that Tate R. Tot will be the name of their official mascot and gave fans a first look at Tate, who will be a part of the gameday experience in the Magic City.

Throughout the naming process, the Hot Tots held a naming competition that turned to the community to submit name ideas for the mascot.

There were over 300 ideas, and the finalists were: Tate R. Tot, Chris P., Cassie Rolle, and Blaze. Tate R. Tot received the majority of the votes and will now be joining the fun at Corbett Field this summer.

It won’t just be at the ballpark that Tate will be making an appearance. With the Hot Tots putting together “Tate’s World Tour,” he will be stopping by different events and businesses in the Minot community to help the fans get excited for what is to come.
