Hot Tots add local talent

The roster reveal for the Minot Hot Tots has been underway over the last few weeks, as the team continues to announce new additions to the squad.

So far, there’s been talent from Creighton University and the University of Illinois, now, the Hot Tots have announced a pair of local players that will be joining in on the fun this summer at Corbett Field.

Current Minot State Beaver right-handed pitcher, Gage Yost, will be staying in the Magic City this summer to play for the Hot Tots. Yost came to Minot State from Rosemount, Minn. and is a junior with the Beaver baseball program.

Last season, Yost tossed 17.2 innings where he gave up 10 hits, three earned runs, walked seven batters, and piled up 18 strikeouts which was good for a 1.53 earned run average.

Joining Yost is another right-handed pitcher at Minot State in Trevyn Badger. Coming to Minot from San Tan Valley, Ariz., Badger has two seasons of playing experience under his belt.

In 2021 and 2022, he combined to throw 50.2 innings where he gave up 23 earned runs on 50 hits, 19 walks, and racked up 48 strikeouts. Badger owns a 4.09 ERA during his two years of action.
