This week marks the beginning of the 2022-23 season for the Minot Curling Club. Now that ice preparations have been finished, the club is set to host multiple events for experienced or prospective curlers, who are looking to learn how to curl or learn more about curling.

Kicking off the festivities of what will be an exciting season is free curling instructions for those who are interested in giving it a try. The open house events will be held at 7 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, and Thursday.

For those who are interested in participating in league curling, they may sign up as an individual or as a team, and equipment will be provided free of charge.

Regular leagues will begin next week and will run through the end of March. The leagues are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and there are spots available for experienced or novice curlers.

In addition to all the exciting news and information surrounding the new season, there will be a FunSpiel event on Saturday, Dec. 3 with a learn to curl instructional event starting at 10 a.m. and a mini tournament that will start at noon and go until 5 p.m. For the event, there will be a $10 per person charge and light snacks will be provided.
