Sean Williams/MDN The Majettes swim and dive team getting geared up for their Century/Legacy Dual meet at the Bismarck Aquatics Center on Thursday.

Looking to continue their trend of showing the ability to be a complete, all-around competitive squad, the Majettes swim and dive team went off to Bismarck on Thursday for the Legacy/Century Dual.

The 2022 season has been kind to the Majettes so far, as the team has put together a win over West Fargo Sheyenne and took second place in a talent filled Coyotes Invitational in Williston.

With their eyes set on continuing to display a brilliant early season performance, the Majettes were tasked with taking on both Century and Legacy, with scores against both teams. At the conclusion of the high energy event, the Majettes topped Legacy 115.00 to 69.00 and fell to Century, 108.00 to 77.00.

With the event ending in a split, there were a plethora of notable performances for the Majettes. Elise Altringer (200-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle), Sam Vonbokern (200-yard IM and 500-yard freestyle), Reese Goodman (50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly), Madison Lyman (100-yard butterfly), Ava Williamson (100-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke), Bostyn Edwards (100-yard breaststroke), and Havanna Metzger (100-yard breaststroke) all had times that qualified for state.

Additionally, Altringer (200-yard freestyle), Vonbokern (200-yard IM and 500-yard freestyle), Williamson (100-yard backstroke) all came in first in their individual events. The 400-yard freestyle team of Altringer, Edwards, Williamson, and Vonbokern came in first as well, closing out the dual with one last win for the Majettes to end the night on a high note.

The divers had an impressive showing once again, with Haley Conklin finishing in first, as well as Ella Kesler and Ave Conejo finishing in the top four, marking two meets in a row where the Majettes have been filling out the top spots in diving.
