MSU selected to host 2024 men’s wrestling Super Region Championships

There will be a first for Minot State in 2024. On Tuesday, it was announced that MSU, in a partnership with Visit Minot, was selected to host a NCAA Division II men’s wrestling Super Region tournament.

The event will take place from Feb. 23-25, 2024 and will be on display at the MSU Dome. This marks the first time that Minot State will host the event and is the first NCAA Championship type event that MSU will host since becoming a full member of the NCAA in 2012.

Minnesota State Moorhead has been the predominant host of this event over the last six years, hosting three of them in that span. In addition to MSU, there will be nine teams making their way to the Magic City when the event takes place.

Hosting this event will provide a lot of eyes on the city of Minot, as well as give Minot State an opportunity to show off their facilities. The Beavers’ wrestlers will have a chance to qualify for the NCAA Division II National Tournament in front of a home crowd, which will make for an exciting experience in Minot.
