Beavers women’s hockey signs local star Tallman to Letter of Intent

One of the top local hockey players will be staying home for her collegiate career.

Minot State women’s hockey head coach Ryan Miner is pleased to announce that Minot High School star forward Abby Tallman signed a National Letter of Intent on Tuesday and will be a freshman on the ice and in the classroom starting in the fall of 2022.

“I chose Minot State because of the welcoming players and coaches,” Tallman said. “I’m excited to start my education at a top-rated program.”

A 5’5″ left-handed shooting forward for the Majettes, Tallman scored 27 goals and assisted on 23 more in 46 games over the past two seasons and has been named Rookie of the Year, the Offense MVP of the Year, and Western Dakota Association (WDA) All-Conference during her time on the ice with the Minot Majettes.

Away from the rink, she has excelled in the classroom as well, earning All-Academic Team honors serving as a member of the National Honor Society.
