The Souris Valley Sabre Dogs will be concluding their 2021 regular season a bit earlier than expected.

The Lewis Division rival Mining City Tommyknockers announced they have ended their season with six games remaining due to disagreements between the players and front office personnel. As a result, the Aug. 6 and 7 games scheduled at Corbett Field between the Tommyknockers and Sabre Dogs will not be played.

Souris Valley will end its regular season on Thursday at home against the Casper Horseheads. Meanwhile, the Expedition League playoffs are set to begin on Monday, Aug. 9.
