Dickinson High School earned first place honors with a 145.35 final score, followed closely by Jamestown (143.15).

Haley Conklin earned Minot’s top scores on the bars (8.05 for 12th-place overall) and vault (8.7 for an 18th-place tie).

Also of note, Peterson finished just behind Conklin on the vault with a score of 8.55, and ahead of teammates Sophie Bell and Saoirse Adkins (8.25 and 8.1, respectively). Bell was the other Majette to record a score on the bars, finishing at 6.7.

On the balance beam, Conklin and Bell came in just below Peterson, with final tallies of 7.375 and 7.2, respectively. Adkins’ 6.2 also earned her a place on the beam final rankings. After the floor exercise, Conklin had placed behind Peterson with a score of 8.4, and ahead of Bell’s 7.8 and Adkins’ 5.9

Finally on the all-around exercise, Conklin’s 32.525 final score again found itself just behind Peterson. Bell earned a 29.95 on the event, and Adkins finished with a 20.2.

The Majettes gymnastics squad is scheduled to be back in action for another invitation at 5:30 p.m. January 22. The meet is expected to be held at Starion Sports Complex in Mandan.
