MHS finishes last at Jamestown

On Friday, the Minot High gymnastics team took part in the Jamestown Knights of Columbus Meet, but trailed the field with a fourth place score of 111.1.

Jamestown won the competition with an overall score of 142.2, followed by Valley City (136.3) and Mandan (124.6).

For Minot, Haley Conklin led the Majettes with team high scores in the all-around (34.1), the vault (8.65), the uneven bars (8.4) and the floor exercise routines (8.8). On two occasions, Conklin qualified for top-5 finishes, taking fifth in the all-around, and fourth in the uneven bars. Pavyn Peterson represented Minot’s best performance in the balance beam as she took eighth overall with a score of 8.3.

The Majettes plan to travel for their next scheduled meet in Bismarck on Friday, Jan. 15.
