Scheduling changes for Tauros and Beavers

The Minot Minotauros have announced additional changes to the team’s hockey schedule due to restrictions brought about by the pandemic.

Rather than going to Minnesota next weekend to play the Kenai River Brown Bears, the Minotauros will host the Austin Bruins for a pair of games on Friday, Dec. 4 at 8:05 p.m., and on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. The change was necessitated as the NAHL Midwest Division has suspended play due to coronavirus related restrictions in Minnesota preventing most of their teams from playing there.

Additionally, Minot will be hosting the St. Cloud Norsemen on Dec. 11 and 12 instead of the Aberdeen Wings. Both contests are slated for a 7 p.m. start time, and game tickets for the original opponent Aberdeen will still be honored at the Maysa Arena. After four consecutive home games to open the month, the Minotauros will head to Bismarck to take on the Bobcats on the final Friday and Saturday before the Christmas break.

Meanwhile, the Minot State men’s hockey program announced a limit of 300 spectators for their next home game against Jamestown on Dec. 4. The limited crowd breakdown will consist of a maximum of 150 season ticket holders and sponsors, and 150 students. It will be the final home game of MSU’s fall semester, and game time is slated for 4:30 p.m.
