MSU women sweep Ladyjacks; men split series with Jimmies

Over the weekend, the Minot State Beavers women’s hockey club (4-0) had no trouble in their home-and-home set against Dakota College at Bottineau.

In Saturday’s matchup at the Maysa Arena, MSU took out the Ladyjacks 5-0. Then in Sunday’s contest, the Beavers again shutout DCB to the tune of 9-0. It was MSU’s first time on the ice since Nov. 1.

Following their sweep, MSU’s next game is scheduled to take place at Midland University on Nov. 20. Meanwhile in men’s hockey, Minot State lost to Jamestown 6-5 at home on Friday evening, then went on to defeat the Jimmies 3-2 on the road in Saturday’s contest. With a season mark of 5-1, the Beavers will be back on the ice in their next scheduled showdown at home against the University of Mary on Friday, Dec. 4.
