NDSU Soccer Announces Spring 2021 Schedule

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State soccer team has released the spring 2021 schedule, featuring 16 Summit League matches.

The Summit League schedule will feature two matches per weekend against the same team at the same location, set for Friday and Sunday. NDSU will have four sets of matches at home and four on the road, starting with a pair of matches at Kansas City on Feb. 12 and 14.

NDSU will open the home slate on Feb. 19 and 21 against Western Illinois. The Bison will also host Omaha (Feb. 26, 28), South Dakota State (March 26, 28) and Oral Roberts (April 9, 11). In addition to the opener at Kansas City, NDSU will travel to Denver (March 5, 7), North Dakota (March 12, 14) and South Dakota (April 2, 4).

The Summit League Women’s Soccer Championship is slated for April 15-17 in Omaha at Caniglia Field. The top-four teams in the regular season standings will advance to the tournament.

All home matches will be played inside the bubble at Dacotah Field. Due to space limitations with the bubble, no fans will be permitted for all home matches inside the bubble. North Dakota State finished the 2019 season with an 8-7-3 overall record and finished fifth in the Summit League with a 3-3-2 league tally.

NDSU welcomes back seven starters from last season, including Summit League All-Freshman Team selection Lavin Douglass and Fargo native Brookelyn Dew, the top returning point scorer on the team from last year with two goals and two assists.

The Summit League had previously postponed the fall 2020 schedule to spring 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
