Minotauros earn two-game sweep over St. Cloud

The Minot Minotauros improved their season record to 5-1 with a pair of home wins over the St. Cloud Norsemen, winning by a final score of 6-3 on Friday evening, then following up with a 4-1 victory in Saturday’s contest.

In Friday’s matchup, Minot had balanced scoring with six different players scoring goals. Heading into the final period, the Minotauros held a slight 4-3 advantage. Then with less than two minutes remaining, a pair of goals by Minot forwards Jack Westlund and Joseph Harguideguy put the contest out of reach.

Then in Saturday’s showdown with St. Cloud, Minot jumped out to a 2-0 advantage in the second period with goals from Joey Moffat and Harguideguy. In the third, forwards Kaiden Scott and Carter Korpi each contributed with goals to secure a Minotauros victory.

Up next on the schedule, Minot will face the Norsemen on the road for a pair of games on Nov. 6 and Nov. 7.
