Grant County overcomes Garrison in five setter; Bishop Ryan beats Berthold in straight sets
In local volleyball action on Tuesday, Oct. 6, Grant County topped Garrison in five after dropping the first two sets. (21-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, 15-10).
Anna Schatz led Grant County in both kills (16) and blocks (4). Meanwhile, Coyotes teammate Zoey
Heid registered team highs in assists (29) and digs (14). Dani Gathright also contributed in the win with 11 kills and five aces on the evening.
For Garrison, Karli Klein and Haley Huesers both reached double figures in kills with 17 and 10 respectively. Josie Westmon had a game high 31 assists, and Bailey Cooper also notched a game high total in digs with 29.
Also on Tuesday evening, the Bishop Ryan Lions beat Berthold in three sets, 25-17, 25-17, 25-21. Sylvie Kramer and Sydney Upton each had 16 kills apiece for Bishop Ryan. Berkley Lundeen made her prensence felt defensively with four blocks on the evening, and Nora Kramer added 15 digs in the victory. Cashley Brown led Berthold with seven kills in the loss.
Meanwhile, Carrington defeated Barnes County North in straight sets on Tuesday, 25-10, 25-14, and 25-19.
