Bishop Ryan takes down Glenburn

The Bishop Ryan Lions defeated the Glenburn Panthers in volleyball last night, with a final score of 3-0. The final set scores were 26-24, 25-13 and 27-25.

The first set was evenly matched, earning points back and forth until the Lions clawed up the win.

Maleah Abel, middle blocker for the Lions, finished the game with 14 assists. Sydney Upton, middle and outside hitter, totaled her kills up to 13.

For the Panthers, senior middle blocker McKenna Rolland led the team with 10 kills, six blocks and three aces. Junior middle blocker Lorelei McIverson had the team-high of 11 assists.

Bishop Ryan will have their next volleyball game on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Glen Ullin against Hebron.

Glenburn’s next game will be held on Saturday in Ray. The opponent as of Oct. 8 is still to be determined.
