Sabre Dogs eliminated from playoff contention after 11-3 defeat to Moo

A seven-run sixth inning helped the Fremont Moo take a decisive 11-3 victory over the Souris Valley Sabre Dogs on Tuesday evening at Corbett Field. Because the Moo (31-20) earned the win, the Sabre Dogs (26-24) will not participate in the Expedition League postseason.

The Clark Division champions held a 3-1 lead over the Sabre Dogs after five innings. A passed ball ignited the scoring in the top of the sixth, and a slew of RBI doubles finished the job.

Hayden Klemenock finished 3-for-4 at the plate for the Moo. Kellen Peat recorded a 2-for-2 performance for the Sabre Dogs.

Fremont recorded 14 hits in the contest, while Souris Valley tallied 10. Each team committed one error.

Tyler Seebaum picked up the win on the mound, while Souris Valley starting pitcher Curtis Stahlecker took the loss. Stahlecker gave up three hits and three runs in five innings of work.

The teams will conclude the series at 7:05 p.m. this evening at Corbett Field.
