Hysjulien tabbed as MHS boys track and field head coach

Late Wednesday morning, Drew Hysjulien was announced as the new Minot High School boys track and field head coach. Hysjulien has served as an assistant coach for the MHS boys track and field program for the past nine years.

A 2003 Grand Forks Central High School graduate, Hysjulien participated in football, basketball and track and field.

“It means a lot to represent the Minot High track program,” he said. “Growing up in Grand Forks, you always knew that when you were competing against a Minot High School team, you were going to have your hands full. It is a privilege to lead a track program that has had so many great athletes and coaches come through it.”

While attending Minot State, Hysjulien represented the Beavers on the basketball court and the track. Now, he welcomes an opportunity to assist Minot High’s Magicians achieve their goals.

“Hopefully, our athletes will dream of accomplishing great things,” he said. “Even more importantly, we want to embrace the day-to-day process — both in season and out of season — necessary to helping our athletes reach their potential.”
