Minot High’s Jaxon Gunville selected to Class A All-State First Team

Over the course of a memorable senior season, Minot High guard Jaxon Gunville broke the Magicians’ single-season scoring record and became Minot’s single-season 3-point leader. Gunville finished the campaign with a 25.3 points per game average and joined a talented group on the Class A All-State First Team.

In 24 games, Gunville scored 606 points and knocked down 101 triples. The Magi finished 16-8 (14-6 WDA) and lost to Dickinson in a state qualifier.

Devils Lake’s Grant Nelson and Jamestown’s Boden Skunberg earned unanimous selections, while Mandan’s Elijah Klein, Fargo Davies’ Cameron Van Dam and Gunville rounded out the First Team.

Gunville is Minot’s first All-State First Team selection since KyJuan Johnson (2016-17).

Cade Feeney (Bismarck Century), Kobe Krenz (Dickinson), Cayden Rickard (Fargo North), Blake Berg (West Fargo Sheyenne) and Jaiden Wright (Dickinson) comprised the Second Team.
