MSU women’s hockey wraps up flawless road trip
OXFORD, Ohio — The Minot State women’s hockey team capped a three-game road trip against ACHA Division I ranked opponents with a third win Saturday afternoon in Ohio.
The No. 4-ranked Beavers upended No. 9 Miami University (Ohio), 2-0, on Saturday after beating them 5-3 on Friday. They also ousted No. 3 Adrian College (Mich.) on Thursday, 3-2 in overtime.
MSU (12-4-1) now bolsters an 11-game winning streak.
Goaltender Jordan Ivanco provided the shutout on Saturday by making 20 saves. Megan Ferg, in the second period, and Haley Wickham, in the third period, picked up the goals. Sami Jo Henry earned an assist on both goals.
MSU outshot Miami 31-20.
The Beavers are back at Maysa Arena next weekend for a pair of games against the University of Minnesota. Puck drop at 5 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 25) and 1 p.m. on Sunday (Jan. 26).
