CARRINGTON — The Minot High School wrestling team placed second to Lisbon (216 to 175.5) at the Al Larson Carrington Invitational this weekend.

Minot bolstered three individual winners: Gabe Mortensen (106), Trevon McClanahan (145) and Jacob Carmichael (195). Stephen Schulze (120) and Chase Burke (160) reached the championship match but came up short for the Magicians.

Ryan wrestling places second at LaMoure Invite

LAMOURE — The Bishop Ryan wrestling team secured a second-place finish at the LaMoure Invitational this weekend. Ryan was beat out by South Border, 229 to 140.5.

The Lions had three individual winners: Lane Cooper (106), Corbin Okeson (182) and Keegan Henjum (285). Gattlin Ledoux (113) and Noah Swedgarden (220) reached the championship match but lost.
