Krueger breaks record, Beavers indoor track & field competes at U-Mary

BISMARCK — The Minot State men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams competed at the U-Mary Holiday Festival in Bismarck on Saturday.

As a team, the Beaver men finished in fourth place while the women ended the day in third.

The Beavers’ Logan Krueger set the school’s Division II era record in the shot put with a throw of 14.05m or 46′ 1.25″.

Danielle Stauffer also won the women’s weight throw with a toss of 12.67m or 41′ 7″.

Minot State’s individual finishes were as follows:

Men’s Results

60m Dash: Franz Boothe, 2nd, 7.02s.

200m Dash: Franz Boothe, 9th, 23.70s; Tyler Schoenwald, 11th, 24.30s.

400m Dash: Tyler Schoenwald, 3rd, 54.46s.

Long Jump: Ethan Feist, 9th, 6.15m.

Shot Put: Logan Krueger, 3rd, 14.05m.

Weight Throw: Logan Krueger, 5th, 13.86m; Parker Benner, 9th, 11.97m.

Women’s Results

60m Dash: Morgan Alexander, 4th, 8.27s.

200m Dash: Morgan Alexander, 6th, 28.18.

Long Jump: Shae Pedersen, 6th, 4.56m.

Shot Put: Taylor Laumeyer, 2nd, 12.05m; Fadzai Madavo, 5th, 9.73m.

Weight Throw: Danielle Stauffer, 1st, 12.67m.

The Beavers will be back on the track after the turning of the new year when the head back to Bismarck for U-Mary’s Winter Carnival on Saturday, Jan. 18.
