Minot High soccer battles to scoreless stalemate with Legacy

BISMARCK — The Minot High School boys soccer team played their final road match of the regular season on Tuesday night. The conclusion of the arduous six-game stretch away from home ended in a scoreless draw.

“Tonight was another great test on the road,” MHS head coach Creighton Bachmeier said. “We continue to fight every minute.”

The Magi moved to 3-5-2 overall (3-3-2 WDA) on the season. The Sabers held a 14-7 shot advantage, but Minot senior goalkeeper Braden Cochran made six saves.

Minot had three corner kick opportunities in the second half, but could not convert. Legacy had three such chances in the game.

Duane Carlson Stadium will play host to the Magi’s final four regular-season games. Minot will square off against the Bismarck Century Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

“(Tonight) was a good result on the road,” Bachmeier said. “I can’t wait to finally get home for the final stretch of conference games.”
