Majettes golf takes second at WHS Invite at Links of North Dakota

The Minot High School girls golf team earned second place at the Links of North Dakota today. The Majettes posted a score of 347.

Both Becca Tschetter and Jaci Jones shot an 83 for the Majettes. Bella Dobrinski posted an 86 and Sydney Berg recorded a 95.

Taryn Trueblood shot a 106 and Avery Falcon tallied a 108.

“There were windy conditions as the day wore on,” Minot High head coach Scott Foltz said. “The (winds) caused scores to inflate on the second nine. At 5600 yards, the Links is probably the longest course we play all season. So we expected our score to be a little higher today.”

Bismarck Century won the event with a team score of 332. Leah Herbel earned individual medalist honors with a 74.

“Century continues to prove why they are the team to beat in all conditions,” Foltz said.

Next up, the Majettes will participate in their only home meet of the year. The Minot Invitational at Vardon Golf Club will start at 10 a.m. on Sept. 20.
