DCB names new athletic trainer

Dakota College at Bottineau welcomes Carolyn Rygg as the new athletic trainer on the campus.

Rygg grew up in St. Thomas, North Dakota, before her family moved to Mayville, North Dakota, where she graduated from May-Port CG High School. Rygg is a certified and licensed athletic trainer. She is an employee of Trinity Health of Minot.

Rygg earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2018 from the University of Mary. She then worked as a graduate assistant at the University of Mary for the academic year of 2018-2019. While at University of Mary she worked with the men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track team along with the men’s soccer team.

Rygg is currently working toward her Master of Education in Physical Education and Athletic Administration with a projected graduation date of April 2020.

Rygg will work with all seven Lumberjack teams. She will also be the educator of HPER 207 that is available in the spring semester at the Dakota College at Bottineau.
