Alexander commits to MSU women’s track & field
Morgan Alexander isn’t going far from home, as the Minot High School senior committed to join the Minot State women’s track & field team on Thursday.
Alexander thrived from the moment she joined the Majettes’ varsity team. As a freshman, the young speedster recorded a time of 12.88 seconds in the 100-meter dash and a time of 1:07.85 seconds in the 400-meter dash – both of which still stand as personal records.
In 2018, the then-junior posted personal bests of 27.20 seconds in the 200-meter dash and 8.33 seconds in the 60-meter dash.
Alexander finished her high school career with a showdown against elite talent as she competed in three events in the state meet from May 24-25.
The senior didn’t reach the finals for the 100-meter dash (13.23 seconds) or the 4×200-meter relay (1:51:36 seconds), but she did help lead Minot’s 4×100-meter relay group to a sixth-place finish (50.50 seconds).
