RAY — Outpaced by Zach Johnson and the Century Patriots, the Minot High School boys golf team slotted into second place at the Williston Invite Monday at the Links of North Dakota golf course.

Century posted a team score of 315 to beat out Minot High (319), Bismarck High (329) and seven other WDA schools.

Johnson shot a 73 to earn medalist honors for a third time this season.

Minot was paced by Gavin Argent, who finished four shots back at 77, and Ashton Heilman, who also had a solid round of 78. Jack Demke (81), Otto Langhans (83), Peyton Bartsch (85) and Brock Jones (85) also golfed for Minot.
