FARGO — Two more Minot State track and field Division II era records fell on Saturday at the Bison Open in Fargo.

Distance runner Leo Skellenger, who broke MSU’s DII record for the 5,000-meter run last week at the University of North Dakota Open, added the mile record to his name Saturday with a time of 4:24.10. The previous best time was 4:34.78, which was set by Colin Olson last week at the UND Open as well.

Former Minot High School standout and Minot State football player Logan Krueger also added his name to the MSU record book with a throw of 13.07 meters in the shot put.

Up next, the Minot State indoor track and field team heads south for the South Dakota State Indoor Classic to be held Friday and Saturday. The NSIC Indoor Championships follow that on Feb. 22-23 in Mankato, Minn.
