The Minot Metros battled a brief stint of rain and the Williston Oilers in their American Legion baseball home opener Monday evening at Corbett Field. The Metros split the doubleheader. They lost Game 1, 10-8, and bounced back for a 8-7 walk-off win in Game 2. Logan Merck provided the game-winning hit in the nightcap with a single back up the middle.
