Minotauros win home opener 4-2

The Minot Minotauros scored early and often in their home opener Friday, taking down the Kenai River Brown Bears 4-2 at Maysa Arena.

Austin Dollimer put the Tauros on the board in the first period, then Minot took a two-goal lead in the second period on a Miroslav Mucha goal. After Kenai River reduced the deficit to 2-1 in the third, Grant Loven gave the Minotauros the two-goal lead back with a goal of his own.

Alex Adams had the final goal of the night for the Minotauros. Goaltender Samu Lonkila earned the win in the net.

Minot (3-1-1) is back in action at 7:30 p.m. tonight against Kenai River at Maysa Arena.
