Community Event: Minot Parks to celebrate Kottsick’s 50 years of service

Steve Kottsick has been the course professional at Souris Valley Golf Course for 50 years, and on Monday, August 3, Minot Parks will celebrate his half-century of dedication to the city and to the sport of golf. The celebration will double as a Kottsick's 75th birthday celebration and will be held at Souris Valley Golf Course beginning at 1 p.m. Free lunch will be sponsored by Minot Junior Golf Association.

The Minot Honeybees will host their inaugural 701 Community Night during the team's final home game against The Grad Forks Spitfires. Six local nonprofit leaders will compete head to head in challenges between the innings for the chance to earn thousands of dollars for their organizations.
