Hyperreality and hologram Joe Biden
With his recent Twitter video announcement commencing his reelection campaign, President Joe Biden is now once again being sold to us as a champion of democracy, whose heart bursts with love for freedom and liberty as much as it does for soft serve. He’s a moderate who has no interest in partisan politics dividing our nation over concerns that “aren’t right or left issues.” Yeah, sure, whatever buddy.
It came as no surprise to me when newly elected North Dakota Democratic-NPL chair Adam Goldwyn circulated a release reacting to this announcement, declaring, “It’s a great day to be a Democrat. We’re proud of our president and his accomplishments in his first term.” Goldwyn’s statement went on to castigate the state Legislature over their culture war fueled session before fawning over what he calls “consequential legislation” delivered by President Biden.
I can forgive Mr. Goldwyn for being a cheerleader for his party, it’s his job, but the claim that “North Dakotans can hold their heads up high when they say, “I’m voting for Biden,” was so laughable I hacked up a lung.
Any honest appraisal of the Biden regime is hard to find with the rabid watchdogs of journalism from the Trump era now morphed into mewling alley cats in heat. It’s easy to obscure things like the president’s ruinous energy and economic policies along with his grifting progeny and family members when nearly every vestigial remnant of the Fourth Estate is committed to the same task. Which is to downplay and obfuscate anything that might undermine the hyperreality that is our holographic president.
The Biden Hologram was first rolled out as a matter of necessity on the campaign trail in 2020, which he largely spent from his basement due to COVID and his tendency to drift into dementia episodes during stump speeches. Metrics like audience turnout, and the day-to-day toil of appearing at press gaggles, town halls, corn feeds and society luncheons suddenly weren’t a factor in the calculus of a candidate’s support or exposure, which was awfully convenient for a man basically auditioning for a political remake of “Weekend at Bernie’s.”
The hyperreality filter held up in front the candidate has lingered on into his administration, which brings me to that infamous and infernal laptop that has been the subject of partisan coverups and obstruction in government bureaucracy and newsrooms public and private for the last three years. Nearly every single news outlet and tech company took their cues for how they covered the Hunter Biden laptop from a letter penned and signed by an array of dishonest hacks from the intelligence community who I’ve opined on before. For some reason I continue to be given reasons to bring it up, and this time it doesn’t involve James Clapper.
We have learned the letter from the spies who lied was organized by Obama/Biden era CIA chief Mike Morell, who testified under oath that its creation came at the direction and urging of the Biden Presidential Campaign. As he told the House Judiciary Committee, Morell was motivated to construct the letter to help Biden get elected, quashing any notion that these elite signatories’ purpose was remotely related to altruism and belief in our nation’s principles.
Morell spilled his beans, naming then campaign senior adviser and current Secretary of State Antony Blinken as the person who “played a role in the inception” of the letter, one that was belatedly proven to be fraudulent once it became undeniable who the laptop belonged to and the veracity of what it contained. The only reason to meddle and manipulate the situation to this extent was to tee up Biden’s preprogrammed refutations of anyone bringing Hunter or the laptop up, which he did during his lone debate with President Trump and in one of his rare interviews with national media.
Mike Morell, James Clapper, John Brennan and their fellows would rather cover up evidence of influence peddling and foreign kompromat involving a presidential candidate without knowing what was true one way or the other themselves, just so long as this candidate wasn’t named Donald Trump. I get it, they’re Democrats. In the name of democracy, they had to ignore a whole parade of red flags and lie to us to preserve it. They love it that much.
This letter was taken as gospel by many for nearly two years, used to bolster censorship against newspapers and individuals across the Internet, because none of those institutions were no more interested in finding out what was true than the hacks who authored it. What was at interest for all involved, was protecting Joe Biden, no matter how entrenched in his corrupt family business he and his cronies may be.
Never mind Blinken’s own emails coordinating “lunches” with the embattled Hunter during the first son’s days of jet setting around on Air Force 2 for business meetings on behalf of Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma, as they are hardly relevant to anything, I’m sure. I’ll have to check with the Dem-NPL to see if that’s something that should matter to me when considering my vote but given their full-throated support of the incumbent, I think we can easily guess what their response might be.
What was more important to the individuals like Leslie Stahl of CBS News, who poopooed Trump for bringing the laptop up during an interview at the time, was that American voters doubted or ignored these revelations and just voted blue no matter who because the Orange Man was so compromised, corrupt, and evil. We wouldn’t want voters actually thinking about who they were voting for now would we?
So, we have yet another case of a Democratic Presidential Campaign wagging the dog of a capitulating media complex by laundering narratives through partisan hacks in the intelligence community to legitimize lies to the American people to control their perceptions and influence their vote. In this instance, it was to spare the Big Guy from suffering the same downfall that derailed Clinton, as voters learned more about her than the anointed were comfortable with.
To top it all off, we have another whistleblower coming forward revealing that the IRS appears to be politically interfering with the criminal investigation of a high profile, politically connected individual, whom CBS News is convinced is Hunter Biden. I’m not sure where the Colombia Broadcasting System has suddenly found the bravery to step out of line like this, but I’ll take what I can get. As these successive scandals are slowly being teased out, what has become clear is that it doesn’t start or end with faithful servants like Blinken.
According to the whistleblower’s attorney, complaints have been filed with the U.S. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration and the DOJ’s Office of Inspector General. Reportedly the veteran IRS employee turned to the oversight committees after Attorney General Merrick Garland appeared at a hearing on March 1 where he denied that any conflicts of interest or constraints or obstructions of investigations or possible prosecutions of the first son were possible under a Biden Presidency, despite all evidence to the contrary.
It’s doubtful that any alternative will be allowed for this corrupt decrepit man hidden behind the hologram, especially now that he has officially announced. The party doesn’t want their constituents to even consider any other name in the stable, with the faded Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders preemptively endorsing Biden to perish any thought of his name being in the mix. Other than Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Marianne Williamson revving up their outsider campaigns on the fringes, every other card-carrying Dem knows they risk suffering the consequences for the slightest dissonance with party orthodoxy. Just ask Mark Haugen.
It hardly matters to the Dem-NPL that polling shows how historically disliked Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris have become as an incumbent ticket even within their own party, with likely Democratic voters regardless of age or demographic signaling they are not sold on another steaming cup of Joe. Yet we find the national party and the Dem-NPL are right behind him and the complex propping him up.
As the corpse of the GOP is fought over by the various Republican sects, it is the Democrats telling their voters and the nation’s center that they will not be given a choice. The true believers are resting easy in the knowledge that the rest of our consent can be manufactured over time, eventually we will be left with no room for anyone else to disagree. We wouldn’t want to think about what we’re convincing ourselves to swallow now would we?
