Another word on racism

Anthem done right

John Pangrac, Minot On the weekend of September 26 & 27 the ND class B girls state golf tournament took place at Souris Valley Golf Course in Minot. Our National Anthem was sung by Aleina Billings . She did an amazing job of singing our nation’s song. A beautiful song done right! There was not one person wearing a hat or didn’t have their hand on their heart! Thanks again, Miss Aleina Billings.

Great to have Hostfest back

Wayne T. Monson, Minot It sure was good to have our Norsk Hostfest again this year! The food, the vendors and the great entertainment all made for a most enjoyable experience, one to be remembered. I enjoyed our Norsk Hostfest immensely! To every one of you involved who contributed to this year’s Hostfest including the many sponsors . . . many tanks!!! Note: “Tanks” is how the old Norwegians pronounced the word “thanks.”

Don’t give away power of your vote

Paul Thomas, Velva Having completed just two years in the ND House of Representatives I would like to share with you my perspective on what a two term, eight-year limit, on a Legislator in the ND House or Senate means for North Dakota citizens.  Approving term limits in North Dakota is limiting your rights as a citizen to choose and elect public officials you want to represent you and your district.  Your elected Representatives and Senator represent about 17,000 people.  This is a small number of people when compared to most states.  For those that care to be involved ...

2022 Hostfest was success

Duane Brekke, Minot I was very fortunate that as a baby I never fell out of my crib on the head — therefore I have never been negative. THE NORSK HOSTFEST IS BACK! We just completed a very successful festival! I can assure you that we will not be moving the Hostfest to Surrey, Simcoe or any other spot, even along the Red River. For those of us who love Minot and work to make it a better city — we couldn’t be happier with EPIC.
