New mayor should be appointed

Linde Paige, Minot With the recent Mayor situation, I would like to encourage the citizens of Minot to allow the current Minot City Council members to select 1 of the 6 to the Mayor seat. Simply, the citizens have already voted this group into their seats. We should allow the council now to complete the action of voting one of them into the Mayor seat. It will save funds and time, allowing Minot to move toward a positive future. Minot needs wins and I believe this would be a great start! “Be 6 Strong” A long-time citizen.

Senators put party over country

Bob McNamara, Upham This week gave us two more examples of our Senate delegation not taking their role of advice and consent seriously. Mr. DeJoy was a terribly controversial nominee for postmaster general and our delegation knew of the controversy. Yet they bobbled along with the party line and voted to confirm him. Five years into his ten year term and he has resigned with the post office in far worse shape than when he went in. I wonder how your ND postal service has been? Not good thanks to this confirmation.
