These seem to be the days of cancel culture and censorship. I’m not bright enough to know the difference. Is critical thinking on life support? Can’t one read Mein Kumpf without becoming a nazi? Can’t one read Das Kapital without becoming a communist? Certainly one can read the Bible and not live as a Christian. Was retribution or forgiveness called for by its author? Can’t one enjoy the music of Elton John and Brandi Carlile without becoming gay? Listening to Elvis Presley obviously hasn’t made me a hunk of burning love. Is North Dakota a place with wide open spaces and narrow minds? It’s our choice.
