Invest In Minot, invest local

Todd Berning, President, EPIC Companies, Minot/West Fargo

Over the past few years, EPIC Companies has raised capital all over the State of North Dakota for projects mainly being developed on the eastern side of the state, primarily the Fargo metro area.  A significant amount of that capital has been derived from the Minot area.  As we develop new projects such as the Big M Building renovation and the Tracks development (mixed-use and community space), out by the new Trinity Hospital, our goal is to keep Minot area capital in the Minot community and frankly, bring eastern North Dakota capital into Minot.

I cannot stress enough all the positive things going on in Minot – a new half a billion-dollar hospital, new schools, continued Minot Air Force Base support, a growing University, a very active airport, rail service, well-managed parks and recreation district, community assets like the North Dakota State Fairgrounds, Maysa Arena, and more. Trust me, I witnessed the opening of the new Sanford hospital in Fargo, it was amazing the job retention, increased medical quality, and growth that it brought to the Fargo metro area. We expect a similar situation to happen in Minot once the new Trinity Hospital opens.

When Trinity systematically starts leaving downtown, that is not a time to hang our heads, it is a time for new opportunity in an already bustling and growing downtown.  The parking ramps will be fully utilized as Big M and City Hall open; community events will grow and assets like Ackerman’s new ice rink will blossom! Minot will continue to check more and more boxes of quality of life.

There is a lot to be proud of in Minot and I really encourage everyone to INVEST IN MINOT!
