Expansion of Chinese influence raises concerns

China is ambitious, and clever. It looks for opportunities to expand its influence. It has captured the attention of the organizations of America’s favorite past time, professional sports. Have you heard of NBA China? Owners of many professional teams have invested millions of dollars in the organization. Their players enjoy all that goes along with dedication to China including gifts, and monetary deals. There are many organizations in the U.S. that have ties with China.

Lately, there have been concerns about China in the news. Is it really true that petroleum in the strategic reserves has been going to China? We were told that it is going to consumers to lower the price of gas at the pump to help the Democrats win the elections. This is the supply that our country keeps on hand in case of emergencies, and times of war. At the end of World War II, when the U.S. dropped a bomb on several Japanese cities, their war planes were grounded. They had no fuel left to fly the planes. It would be unfortunate if our reserve fuel supplies were empty. More unsettling, it appears that China is interested in United States oil drilling operations, unlike our government that stifles investment in fossil fuel production. There are those in our country that are willing to partner up with the Chinese Communists. That makes the time we live in troubling.

While we wonder if cleanly produced lignite energy will always be available for us, Asia continues to build coal energy plants. They have a goal, and it is not in the best interest of our country.
